Blending Health and Business: My Experience Selling Low-Calorie Iced Coffee

Coffee is one of the most consumed drinks in the world, with billions of cups enjoyed every day, and it is especially popular in Qatar, where cafe culture is a big part of daily life. This inspired me to sell low-calorie, zero-sugar iced coffee at my university's entrepreneur market as a healthier alternative.

Preparing for the market helped me understand the business side of things behind a simple product. I created a small budget, calculated costs, set prices, and managed inventory. One of my biggest challenges was overestimating demand and buying too much inventory, which taught me a valuable lesson about forecasting and the importance of inventory control, even at a small scale.

On the day, I learned how sales vary, how pricing affects customer decisions, and how managing resources directly impacts profitability. Many students were interested in a lower-calorie option, demonstrating the growing demand for healthier choices that still fit into everyday routines.

This experience showed me that entrepreneurship is not just about having an idea, but about learning from mistakes, adapting, and improving with every decision. It improved my confidence and increased my interest further in a health-based business venture.
